It's Not Over Yet March 13–27, 2025

Inspired by International Women's Day on March 8th, Istanbul Modern Cinema presents a selection of films about individual and collective struggles in different periods and locations in modern history. The program “It's Not Over Yet” begins with Fritz Lang's 1931 masterpiece M and moves on from the uprising in Chile to the struggle for freedom of Empress Elisabeth of Austria. The most recent film in the selection is the Golden Globe-winning I'm Still Here (2024), which tells the true story of Eunice Paiva, a woman who waged a struggle both at home and against the state in the backdrop of the military dictatorship in Brazil in 1971.
