The director's second feature film is a shocking legal drama that travels beyond the black-and-white boundaries of justice and into a region where one is alone with one's conscience. Canan, a young and idealistic lawyer, is caught in between her sense of justice and her professional ethics in a case. During the day, she becomes increasingly isolated amidst doubts about the guilt of the client she is defending, while at night she goes to the hospital to be with her mother who is on a ventilator. Highlighted by strong acting, the film skillfully reflects the inner turmoil of the characters by using claustrophobic locations and a meticulous visual language.
