Following three groups of friends from Sri Lanka, Taiwan and Peru,The Human Surge 3 presents a speculative utopia. Over time, these people begin to share each other's habitats and dreams, and eventually meet in a collective march. Concerned with problems such as global inequality and environmental disasters, the film also explores alternative ways and new practices of being together. Innovative in its narrative and form, the film is shot with a 360-degree camera, which the director describes as "a machine, a human and an alien". Adapted to cinema, these images raise questions about reality, and invite us into a contemporary and permeable viewer experience that finds counterparts in video games and social media.
