Set in Nazi-occupied Holland during the Second World War, Soldier of Orange shows how individual students respond in different ways to the occupation of their country. The film received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Foreign Language Film in 1980 and is considered to be one of the best Dutch films made in the 20th century.
