Canadian musician Jason Charles Beck, also known with his stage name, Chilly Gonzales became famous in Berlin during the early 2000s with his music where he incorporated electronic music with hip-hop as well as his wild performances. In the following years, Gonzales changed his style and recorded solo piano albums, and worked with a variety of famous musicians and bands ranging from Peaches to Feist and from Jarvis Cocker to Daft Punk. Much like Gonzales himself, Shut up and Play the Piano is a dynamic and fun documentary, which introduces one of the most original voices of indie music through interviews, archival footage and concert recordings. The documentary is a treat for Gonzales fans and novices alike.
