This film, which sparked controversy when it premiered earlier this year in Türkiye at the Adana Film Festival, covers the 1978 Bahçelievler Massacre--one of the most sensitive events in our recent political history--in a fictional universe. On October 8, 1978, in the Bahçelievler district of Ankara, five leftist youths who believe that revolution can be achieved through politics rather than violence gather in a house to discuss their magazines. The film depicts the events of that night in a single take, graphically depicting murder scenes. Before the 1980 coup d'état, the film illustrates the political chaos in Türkiye and the delicate balance between violence and politics with a particular distance and in stylistically original language.
