MR BACHMANN AND HIS CLASS

Set in a school in Stadtallendorf, this documentary observes the dialogues on cultural and linguistic differences between teacher Mr. Bachmann and the 12-14 year old students in his class from 12 different ethnic backgrounds. The documentary, which focuses on Mr. Bachmann, who is determined to motivate his students through a variety of skills, current issues and cultures, rather than traditional teaching methods and subject matter, received the Jury Prize from Berlinale.
