Music is everything for Touda. It is both her greatest passion and a journey that will fulfill her dream of becoming a sheikha, a traditional female artist in Morocco. Although she is relegated to performing in night clubs in a small town, she hopes to one day travel to Casablanca to become a respected sheikha and, through music offer a better life to her son Yassine, who has hearing and speech impairments. For the sheikhas, music is not only a source of livelihood but also a form of resistance. Despite the pressure from men and her family, Touda refuses to give up on her dreams. Nisrin Erradi's impressive performance adds depth to this powerful story.
