Organized for all levels of primary and secondary education, including elementary, and middle schools.
Istanbul Modern helps children reinforce the knowledge they learn in lessons through art, and to develop their creative thinking skills by discovering the different forms of artistic expression with the education programs it organizes for school groups in parallel with the collection exhibition. In the program, which offers the opportunity to engage with artworks, children ask questions, compare, establish relationships, explore and interpret art.
The program, which aims to develop students’ knowledge and experience in visual communication, cultural heritage and art criticism, offers school class groups the opportunity to examine works of art with fun activities with a thematic and interdisciplinary approach.
The program is associated with the Learning Objectives determined in the core curriculum.
Children reinforce their museum experience through the art activities in their classrooms. After completing the Activity Card designed by Istanbul Modern for the program with their art activities in their classes, they share photos of their works in the "My Art - Virtual Gallery".
