Istanbul Modern Cinema wishes to remind the candidates for the "Best Foreign Language Film" category in the Oscar’s, as the award season approaches. The nine frontrunners of the race will be announced on Thursday, 10 January. Although nominated for an Oscar, the films in this program are produced outside of Hollywood, became hits in festivals worldwide and therefore represent a category where different languages and cultures come together.
