Istanbul Modern Turns 20!

Since our foundation on December 11, 2004, we have been delighted to welcome 10 million visitors and provide free art education to more than 1 million children and young people.

Over the past 20 years, we organized 9 collection exhibitions, 84 temporary exhibitions, 45 photography exhibitions, and 17 exhibitions abroad. Additionally, we hosted more than 1,000 free education programs, 3,500 diverse events, and nearly 4,000 film screenings.

In celebration of our 20th anniversary, we are honored to receive prestigious accolades and achieve record visitor numbers in our new museum building, alongside 46 national and international awards since 2004.
