Turkish Passport tells the story of diplomats posted to Turkish embassies and consulates in several European countries where they saved the lives of countless Jews during the Second World War. Based on the testimonials of people who moved to Istanbul for safety, the documentary tells the story of how these Jews were saved by making use of written historical documents and archival images, and sheds light on the events of the time. The diplomats also saved both Turkish Jews and foreign Jews who were sentenced to death by issuing them with Turkish passports.
