Winner of the “Golden Leopard” award, this moving Lithuanian drama explores the harsh realities faced by two young girls in a small town as they pursue their dreams of becoming models. The dream soon turns into a nightmare and the girls are forced to face dangerous and exploitative situations in order to achieve success. The film humanizes the pressures on young women's bodies and the toxicity of society, and the naturalistic performances of the amateur actors make for a narrative that is at once harsh and critical, youthful and compassionate.
