The only nice thing in Jörgen’s unhappy life is his daughter who disappears during her holidays in Namibia. After weeks of terrifying uncertainty Jörgen goes searching for her. But the haunting bad memories, the heat, and his drinking all unhinge him even more. His only traveling companion is a child called Kaisa. Together they journey into the African desert on Tirza's trail. Tirza was the official Dutch candidate for the 2011 Academy Awards.
