Karol is a Polish hairdresser who lives in Paris. After his wife divorces him because their marriage was sexually unsatisfying, Karol finds himself on the streets of Paris – penniless and devoid of his passport. Just as he is about to lose all hope, a friend smuggles him back to Warsaw in a trunk. Once there, Karol decides to become rich to take revenge against his ex-wife. But his plans for revenge do not turn out as expected.
