It is 1981, during the first months of the military coup in Turkey, and the province of Kars is facing one of the harshest winters of recent years. To heat their homes, Serhat, Gürbüz, and Ibo embark on an adventure to find coal, which to them is more valuable than gold. On this adventure in pursuit of coal, which is accessible only to a few state institutions and privileged individuals, the three friends will learn about solidarity and the responsibilities of life. The film had its world premiere at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival.
