PIN SCREEN CINEMA BY ALEXEIEF, 1933
France | Black-White, 77’ | French
Director: Alexandre Alexeieff
A man with his nose lost, shadows exchanging places, dream screens among which one can switch, footprints that move on their own, rabbits roaming among densely-drawn lines... From the 30’s until the 80’s, the Russian artist Alexeieff creates animations that draw a path between light and dark via lines made with pins.
Following five of his short films, a documentary displaying all aspects of Alexeieff’s creation process will also be screened.
