It is the story of the British aristocrat Orlando who lives throughout a period of 400 years, in both sexes, without ever getting old. In this movie where Sally Potter questions the concept of sexual identity, Orlando starts his life as a man, the treasurer of Queen Elizabeth and then he miraculously becomes a woman during his/her adventures following his/her quest, a life full of ups and downs. This is an adventure film adopted from a Virginia Woolf novel that is enriched by fantastic elements and a sharp sense of humor and striking imagery.
