Until five years ago, skier Jomar had a great girlfriend and a promising career. A sports accident and a major nervous breakdown turn him into a drunken ski resort attendant with no prospects in life. When Jomar learns that he has a five-year-old son in the north of Norway, he sets off in a snowmobile loaded with clothes and enough booze. North is not only a cold journey towards love, but also a road movie where absurd coincidences meet.
