On a cold night a sensitive 12-year-old boy Oskar's wish to have friends is granted by Eli, who is unaffected by the cold. As the two boys begin to grow closer, strange murders take place in their neighborhood. When Oskar realizes that Eli is a vampire, Let the Right One In becomes a distinctive and melancholic film that not only breaks conventional vampire myths, but also, with its impressive visuals and a wonderfully cold and tranquil atmosphere, becomes its own unique film.
