Journey of Hopewas the Swiss submission for the 1991 Academy Award for “Best Foreign Language Film”, which it won. The film is about a family from Maraş who sells everything they own in an attempt to emigrate to Switzerland, taking one of their eight children with them. A drama about the difficulties the family faces during their journey to reach this place they imagine is paradise.
