Taking place in the United Kingdom during the 1970s, In the Name of the Father is inspired by the true story of Irish Gerry Conlon, who was one of the four people who were arrested for the IRA bombing in London. On one side is Conlon who survives with petty theft, and the other is his hardworking and honest father who has been wrongfully sent to prison. When these two men find themselves in the same cell, both with a life sentence, they begin a struggle for justice all the while mending their long-lost relationship as father and son.
