Simone and her film crew arrive in a village in northeastern Türkiye for a documentary project.  Their subject is Hatice, an elderly Kurdish woman whose son was kidnapped 25 years ago. As soon as filming starts, strange events begin. Leyla, who works as a translator for the crew, and her mysterious little daughter Melek, become involved in the project. Melek's father Zafer belongs to a secret and shadowy organization. Told in three chapters, In the Blind Spot is a cold and brutal political thriller set in a finely crafted and politically complicated geography and won the Golden Tulip at the Istanbul Film Festival.
