GRIZZLY MAN, 2005

USA | Blu-ray, Color, 103’ | English
Director: Werner Herzog
Cast: Timothy Treadwell, Amie Huguenard

Timothy Treadwell, an eccentric actor turned wildlife conservationist, spent 13 years living with and filming grizzly bears in Alaska to advocate for their protection. Tragically, he and his girlfriend were killed by one of the bears he sought to protect. Werner Herzog weaves Treadwell's diary-like footage of Alaska’s stunning landscape into a documentary that delves into the complexity of his character. Accompanied by Richard Thompson's poignant score, the film chronicles the life and death of an idealist driven by obsession.
