Director: Fanny Liatard, Jérémy Trouilh

In 2019, a decision was made to demolish the social housing project Cité Gagarine, named after the Soviet cosmonaut who came to visit in the early 1960s, and which had been the base for the French Communist Party. Abandoned by his mother, young Yuri is named after the same cosmonaut, and like him, is passionate about space and astronomy. Yuri tries to prevent the destruction of the housing project, which is now in ruins. Gagarine premiered in Cannes last year, as the directors' sweet and emotional debut feature, where dreams of life in space and social reality, personal and social history intertwine. The film’s premiere in Turkey will take place here.
