The film centers on a young man. He has a pretty good life; he works as a banker by day and a rock musician by night. He has a family, and a child. But one day, he has an idea: Why shouldn’t he rob a bank? Not using weapons or force, but taking advantage of the security flaws. He materializes this idea of his, and is successful too. He runs away to Australia together with the millions he steals. But things don’t pan out as he imagines. He invites his girlfriend along, and tells her to bring their kids. He has stolen all this money to enjoy life together with them, but the response he gets is: no. In Coup, Sven O. Hill incorporates elements of documentary and animation to portray an incredible narrative.
