The film conveys the interdependent relationship between a mother and her adult son in a humorous, as well as an emotional way. For a long while, the middle aged Barbu has been living with his mother, of whom he feels a strong connection to. Wanting to lead an independent life, Barbu leaves home. Barbu, living the new, free life he has begun, buys himself a car and by exceeding the speed limit, hits a pedestrian. After the accident, a 15-year imprisonment is likely. Awaiting her son’s return, given the limited circumstances, Cornelia tries to save her son. However, things do not quite go as expected.
