When Pauline returns her native village, she contacts Angela, the director of Motherhood Centre, whom she has met abroad. Pauline conducts here a research project on experiences and problems of contemporary mothers starting from interviews, videos and photographs compiled by Angela. Emma, one of the mothers visiting the centre is in crisis; she doesn’t know how to cope with the responsibilities of motherhood and feels her life is interrupted. Both women try to cope with problems they try to escape, in the complicated relationship between them.
