“Crafting Technology for Textiles”- a collaborative project between Istanbul Modern and the Royal College of Art (RCA), London

The workshop addresses the use of biological materials in works of art in terms of ways of thinking, production of materials for the production of art works while seeking to minimize consumption even when it is for production and focusing on viewing conventional organic materials in a different light.

The workshop involves the practice of papermaking using various organic materials and conversations on the processes and results of this particular practice.

Nergiz Yeşil

Nergiz Yeşil graduated from the Department of Sculpture at Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts, where she completed her undergraduate and graduate studies in 2014. Her master's thesis titled “Use of Biological Materials in Artworks” focused on bio-art.
