In her performance RESIDUE with RemDans Art Collective within the scope of the YAP Istanbul Modern: Young Architects Program, Tuğçe Tuna sets out on a journey with the ‘remnants’ in our hearts and minds.

“Remnants of moments left in my body. My sediments; sometimes I carry them on my shoulders, sometimes I step upon them and rise. The parts of my dreams which ‘in reality’ are of no use. I’m at a stop. Stop! I’m standing, I’m awake…”

Founded in 2001 in Istanbul by contemporary dance and performance artist, choreographer, and academic Tuğçe Tuna, RemDans takes part in international platforms as an interdisciplinary contemporary dance-performance collective and recognized as an innovative, bold, and pioneering initiative.
