Whispering Walls (2024), a documentary exploring the artistic journey of Burhan Doğançay, one of the leading figures in contemporary art from Türkiye, will have its Türkiye premiere with Istanbul Modern members.

The documentary draws on Doğançay’s statement, “Walls are the mirrors of society,” to explore how he translated his collage technique into cinematic language. It also traces his personal and artistic search for direction after immigrating to New York in the 1960s.

The screening will take place with the participation of Angela Doğançay, the artist’s wife, along with the film crew.
