In this workshop led by artist Sibel Horada, participants will use sponge and fabric waste to create sculptures. The workshop explores the transformation of discarded materials into art objects, where colors and textures combine to give new meanings to the waste. Participants will experiment with different possibilities, both practically and theoretically.

Upcycling Workshops with Artists

In Istanbul Modern's new museum building, upcycling workshops with artists are organized as part of the Eco Art Lab education program sponsored by Damat Tween. In the upcycling workshops, which focus on topics such as sustainable future, continuity of life for all, and environmental change, together with artists and designers from different fields, participants explore the methods and possibilities of transforming end-of-life items into artistic materials or design products.
