“İzzet Keribar: Journey of Colors” Exhibition Event

Istanbul Modern Photography Gallery presents “Journey of Colors,” a selection from İzzet Keribar's (b. 1936) archive of nearly 1.5 million images. On Tuesday, November 26 at 18.00, İzzet Keribar will be in conversation with the curator of the exhibition, Demet Yıldız Dinçer, about his photographs, which highlight formal elements that have become his trademark, such as color, light, texture, and graphic composition.

In this talk, the artist will discuss his works from the 1950s, featuring images of Istanbul's rapidly evolving street life and photographs of urban and rural settings in South Korea, as well as nature and urban landscapes. These photographs showcase Keribar's ability to transform the “ordinary” into the “extraordinary” through his masterful use of natural light and color.
