Never Alone April 15–25, 2021

Istanbul Modern Cinema presents a selection of films by Middle Eastern and North African woman directors, inspired by Selma Gürbüz's women in her exhibition "This Place We Call World". Stretching from Tunisia to Kenya, these films focus on the state of being a woman in the 21st century, feminine energy, and women's social and cultural roles. In the program, Moufida Tlatli, one of the most important woman filmmakers of the Arab world, who passed away on February 7, is also commemorated with her film The Season of Men (Maussim al-rijal, 2000).
