In Pursuit of Light April 7–10, 2016

Istanbul Modern Cinema, in collaboration with the Consulate General of Switzerland, presents a film program in conjunction with the photography exhibition “Habitat”. Films that explore the concept of place through diverse themes look at the relationships humans establish with their habitat as well as the interaction between art and place. Among films featured in the program are: Der Tulpenbaum (The Tulip Tree), which examines 92-year-old Henriette’s relationship with the nursing home where she lives, and Wintergast (Winter Guest), which premiered this year at the Locarno Film Festival and follows the journey of a director going through a midlife crisis.
