Istanbul Modern Cinema presents the complete filmography of Michael Haneke, one of the greatest contemporary film directors of Europe. The program will be carried out in cooperation with the Goethe Institute, Austrian Cultural Office and the French Cultural Center. All 21 films of the director will be screened with the scope of the program that features both television films and award-winning cinema films, including “Love” that won the Golden Palm in Cannes Film Festival and received five Oscar nominations this year. Besides film screenings, a talk will be held on Thursday February the 28th with the participation of Roy Grundmann, the writer of “A Companion to Michael Haneke” and Hüseyin Tabak, one of Haneke’s students and the director of “Your Beauty is Worth Nothing” that won the Golden Orange “Best Film” award in 2012

Originally written as a radio sketch by James Saunders, Haneke’s first film relates to two complete strangers coming together, falling in love, their quarrels, realizing the difficulty of reaching a rapport and their separation.
