Cast: Tandin Wangchuk, Harry Einhorn, Tandin Phubz

The film is set in Bhutan in the mid-2000s when the king decides to abdicate the throne and hold elections for the first time in the history of the country. An old monk is worried about the consequences of the coming changes and tells his young disciple to bring him two rifles by the full moon to "fix everything." The young priest is puzzled by his guru's request. His knowledge of weapons is limited to what he has seen in James Bond, the only film on television, and his quest brings him face to face with a rogue American rifle collector. The Monk and the Gun is a sweet satire on armament and capitalism.
