Şükran, who works at the ticket office of Haydarpaşa Railway Station, is deeply worried that her son Veysel may suffer the same fate as her dead husband because of his political past. One day, Veysel goes missing. Şükran knocks on every door in search of her son. Unconvinced that he has been murdered, she follows the clues, which lead her to the city of Mardin. In his surprising debut feature film, Pirselimoğlu explores for the first time the theme of impersonation, which went on to appear frequently in his cinema. The film brought Zuhal Olcay the “Best Actress Award” at the Istanbul Film Festival for her role as Şükran, a mother who does not give up searching for her child in the face of bureaucracy and ideologies.
