Tunisia | DCP, Color, 107’ | Arabic, French, English
Director: Kaouther Ben Hania
Cast: Olfa Hamrouni, Eya Chikhaoui, Nour Karoui

Known for Beauty and the Dogs and The Man Who Sold His Skin, director Kaouther Ben Hania tells the true story of a family mourning the disappearance of two sisters in Tunisia in 2015. Olfa Hamrouni's two older daughters, aged 15 and 16, disappear one day, leaving her and her two younger daughters desperate. Employing professional actors alongside Hamrouni and her daughters, the director portrays the family’s trauma through performance. The film has won awards in the documentary category, but is in fact a staged fiction that prompts us to question the reality we see on the screen.

This film can be viewed on February 15, - 13.00 & February 17, 15.00
